The Melodeers Chorus, based in Northbrook, Illinois, are seven-time SAI International Chorus Champions.


History

Chartered in 1960 as a chapter of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) and originally located in Deerfield, IL (hence the name, a combination of Melody and Deerfield), the Melodeers are the first to achieve seven-time international chorus champion status within the Sweet Adelines International organization, and also currently hold the record for the highest score in regional competition (759 in 2016).

The Melodeers are directed by Master 700 Director Jim Arns.

The Melodeers rehearse at 7:30pm Wednesday evenings at Christian Heritage Academy, 315 Waukegan Road, Northfield, IL 60093.
