Dearborn Chapter won the 1959 and 1965 District Contests and went to the 1963 International Contest

Niles-Buchanan won the 1958 District Contest and went to the 1962 International Contest

Detroit #1 (now Detroit-Oakland) won the 1961, 1966, 1969, 1972, 1975, 1978, 1981 District Contests and went to the 1965, 1967, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1982 International Contests

No International Chorus Representative was sent to the 1955 and 1957 International Contests

Macomb County Chapter merged into the Rochester Chapter in 2013

Detroit #1 Chapter and Oakland County Chapter merged in 1986 to become the Detroit-Oakland Chapter

Chorus

The Grand Rapids Great Lakes Chorus was awarded the title 1953 International 'Convention' Championship Chorus, with the "convention" annotation to separate that contest from future contests. The trophy, and the title "International Chorus Champions" were awarded for the first time in 1954. More information here.

No PIO chorus has become "International Chorus Champions" yet.
