User talk:Gaidheal
Welcome, Duncan! My personal priority has been creating "needed" pages in the first place, with whatever information I can find easily. For want of any better guidance, I've made the brand-new Affiliate material (BABS, NZABS, SNOBS, etc) look like the corresponding BHS District material: "home" page, categories, choruses, quartets. Consistency will make the entire wiki look more professional; a style guide is in the works. If you want to put on your Subject Matter Expert hat and "take over" the BABS stuff, swing away! --Paks Paladin 19:04, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Template creation
Hi, I saw that you created the template Template:Mediawiki. If you share your idea/goal with me, I'll try to help. Also, it's probably a good idea to first create and test your work on your userpage/sandbox page before creating a new real template. --Casey Parsons 18:23, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, yeah I found the special page 'templates wanted' and the mediawiki template was most requested. Yep, I should have done it on my sandbox first, it doesn't work just now heh. I'm actually working on one or two things there already. I was seeing at first if I could add some stuff, like userboxes. But the userbox templates, as well as other templates on wikipedia, themselves use templates that I'm having trouble finding in the 'Template' namespace on wikipedia. Something else you may be able to help with: I've already asked Paks Paladin this on his talk page, but when I try to use in my sig-editing box in preferences, it doesn't like it, so I'm currently using
...
which isn't ideal, as it breaks the siggy up. 18:43, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- The "templates wanted" just means that that page is linked from another page. It doesn't necessarily mean that we need it. Most of those templates are just for style, not necessarily content. The right answer may be just to delete that unused link...need to check each case individually. About your signature, check out my answer at User_talk:Paks_Paladin#Signatures working? Hope that helps. Let me know what I can help you with. --Casey Parsons 18:49, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, that did help. Now my siggy is how I want it :D However, sometimes the link to my talk page decides not to work, although this may well be because I'm editing it lol. The mediawiki template page seemed like it was suggesting that topics which existed on Mediawiki could be linked to from other wikis via an 'interwiki link'... not much info on the page, and not much more on the talk page. gaidheal (talk♫contribs) 19:15, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- We can't do interwiki link stuff here. That only works for wikipedia projects, which we are not. We're completely separated from wikipedia and mediawiki. --Casey Parsons 19:18, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Multiple Recordings
I'm not aware of any way to make two tables appear side by side, but then I haven't looked. What you can do is make one big table. See Gas House Gang#Recordings for an example. I suggest waiting until you know when each was released, so you can put them in order. --Paks Paladin 06:06, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
