Close Harmony Tradition is the Barbershop Harmony Society's 1987 International Seniors Quartet Champion. The quartet was presented the Mark Roberts Senior Quartet Trophy by the previous year's champions, George Baggish Memorial Quartet. In the competition, Four Old Guys Singing placed 2nd, and Gold 'N Time placed 3rd.
Baritone Bob Mahony was also a licensed amateur radio operator, and communicated with other barbershoppers via radio with the callsign KG4BQ ("King George Four Barbershop Quartet").
