Scottsdale Chorus
The Scottsdale Chorus, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, are four-time SAI International Chorus Champions.
History
Scottsdale Chorus from Scottsdale, Arizona took gold at the 2010 Sweet Adelines International Convention and Competition held on Oct. 23, 2010, in Seattle, Washington. One hundred and fifteen of the 125-member chorus performed onstage and impressed the judges and audience with its creative and musical entertainment package.
Lori Lyford has directed the Scottsdale Chorus for 17 years. Since chartering in 1962, the Scottsdale Chorus has come a long way. Today the chorus has members who serve as International Faculty, in the International Judging Program and on the Regional Management Team.
The chorus has a diverse membership of women ranging in age from 15 to 80 years old. There is one mother and daughter combination and three sets of sisters within the chorus.
