Wildfire is the 2019 Next Generation Varsity Barbershop Quartet Champion. Wildfire is a DIX district quartet that began in Tennessee in the fall of 2017. The original members included Stephen Goldman, Harrison Cooke, Caleb Hayes and Kyle Snook. At the 2018 international in Orlando, Wildfire placed third in the Next Generation Varsity Quartet contest. Kyle Snook aged out soon after and 2014 Gold Medalist Baritone, Kevin Mendez became the new baritone of Wildfire. Wildfire became the 2019 Next Generation Varsity Quartet Champions in Salt Lake City with a score of 80.7. Kevin Mendez became the fourth 2-time Collegiate/Next Generation gold medalist.
