Extended History
This was the first time the quartet competed together on the International level. This was not the first International gold medal for any of the quartet members. In 1985 baritone Karen Breidert won the gold with Jubilation. In 1992 bass Jeannie Froelich and tenor Nancy Fuhrmann sang together in City Lights and brought home their first gold medal. In 1994 lead Debbie Connelly and her then quartet Showtime were crowned champions. This dynamic foursome came together in January 2003 and became “the BUZZ” and have been creating just that ever since. Competing together for the first time in April of 2004, then becoming International champions a mere six months later!
