The Mile High Chapter, Sound of the Rockies Chorus is a member of the Rocky Mountain District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The chapter is based in Denver, Colorado. The chapter is most well-known for being a perennial chorus medalist since 2007 and their pirate set during the 2014 BHS International Convention.

History

On January 1, 2000, the current Mile High "Sound of the Rockies" chorus was born under the direction of Darin Drown as a merger of two Denver choruses, the Mile-Hi Chorus and the Denver Tech-based Sound of the Rockies.

In 2008 the 52eighty youth chorus was formed and was sponsored by Sound of the Rockies until the chorus's dissolution in 2022.

In 2022, the Mile High Chapter also merged with the "Boulder Timberliners" (later renamed The Timberliners) in the response to the Everyone In Harmony initiative.
